Over the course of this weekend our volunteers have remained on their feet and busy! Each day we had a early morning start at about 7am prepping the equipment and getting ready for the day. While some of our members stayed back at the station others were assigned to working the “May Day Faerie Festival” down at Rocky Point Park. “Career On Wheels”

This past Friday our members attended the “Career on Wheels” event at a local elementary school. We really enjoyed showing off how our tool’s & equipment function as well as meeting some future firefighters in the making! No Caption Box truck fire (Box 51-03)

Last night around 9pm station 51 was dispatched to the 1900blk of Middleborough Rd between Sassafras Rd & Oak Ave for a reported vehicle fire threatening a structure. Engine 512 arrived to find a box truck with fire throughout the engine compartment. Crews were able to put a quick knock on the fire before it could spread to the cargo box portion of the truck. Large Brush Fire (Box 16-64)

Yesterday around 3:30pm Engine 512 responded to assist crews operating on a large brush fire on the Innerloop of I695 between RT 702 & Eastern Blvd. Engine 512s crew was tasked with extinguishing multiple large spot fires along the train tracks near Chesaco Ave and operated on scene for a total of 2 hours before clearing the call and returning to station... This past Tuesday Engine 512 transferred to Baltimore County Fire Department station 18 in Randallstown to fill in while majority of the county’s resources on the westside battled a 8 alarm brush fire in Owings Mills. Engine 512 responded to a total of 3 calls for service on the westside while Engine 511 remained attended with a crew in station to answer calls for service in the Essex area...
