Last night around 9pm station 51 was dispatched to the 1900blk of Middleborough Rd between Sassafras Rd & Oak Ave for a reported vehicle fire threatening a structure. Engine 512 arrived to find a box truck with fire throughout the engine compartment. Crews were able to put a quick knock on the fire before it could spread to the cargo box portion of the truck. Engine 512 remained on scene for about a hour and a half before clearing the call and returning to station.
