IOn Thursday January 4th at 11:15am Station 51 was dispatched to the 700Blk of Rockaway Beach Ave for a reported residential structure fire. Engine 511 was first arriving unit on scene to find a 2 story home with light smoke showing from the 2nd floor. Crews stretched a 1in 3/4 attack line and gained entry through the front door. After investigation command reported a pot of food on the stove which had caught fire and was quickly extinguished. Firefighters began setting up for smoke removal while Ambulance 515 evaluated 2 patients. The homeowner was able to return back into their home and no injuries were reported. After 30 minutes crews cleared the call and returned back in service
